Webinar Sessions Open Call— “High content and high predictive cellular models for host-pathogen interactions studies, disease modeling, and drug discovery”
We are cordially inviting you to apply until October 31 to the Webinar Sessions: High content and high predictive cellular models for host-pathogen interactions studies, disease modeling, and drug discovery.” This event is coordinated by Mariela Bollati-Fogolín and Romina Pagotto, Cell Biology Unit, Institut Pasteur de Montevideo, Uruguay.
Eight Speakers from different Universities and Institutions —Argentina, Brazil, France, Portugal, The United States, and Uruguay— will join the line-up of this course:
The fields to be addressed during these webinar series aim to provide an update on 2D and 3D cell cultures models and high content analysis methods to participants from Latin America and the Caribbean region (LAC). It is also expected to generate an exchange instance that promotes the building of new networks of academic institutions and collaborations.
Each webinar will have Q&A and will be complemented with a forum discussion where related material (written/audiovisual) will be available for attendees, who will be able to interact with the lecturer, coordinators and other students, exchanging experiences, protocols and ideas.
Language: The language of preference will be Spanish to reach as many attendees as possible from the LAC region. English language will be considered in case of a foreign invited speaker. Please note that there will be no simultaneous translation.
Audience profile: Lab managers, Technicians, Scientists, Post-Docs, PhD and Master students from Academia and Research institutions.
Modality of the Webinar series: Two talks per day on a weekly basis during Wednesdays of November 2021 Duration of the talk: Presentation of 50 min follows by 20 min of questions and discussions. Sessions will take place on the Zoom platform. Talks will be recorded and uploaded along with any supporting material in a learning platform available for the speakers and the audience.
The theme of this event is aligned with SDG 3: Good Health and Wellbeing and one of our research/endeavors working towards one of UNU-BIOLAC priority areas—Emerging and neglected human, animal, and plant diseases.
